Congress demeaned Karnataka pride, looted democracy in five years

Launching a broadside against the state's ruling party ahead of elections on 12 May, the prime minister labelled the Congress a "deal party".

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday for publicly declaring his prime ministerial ambition, BJP's bickering ally Shiv Sena said it was the Congress president's democratic right to express his stand and no one should make fun of it.

During Manmohan Singh's tenure as prime minister, he said, the remote control was with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi said he is "pretty confident" that Narendra Modi would not be the next Prime Minister. They know their reign of corruption and oppression is ending in Karnataka. "The hopes and aspirations of the people of Karnataka cant be held hostage to the machinations of the Congress". "From morning till evening, while sleeping and while awake, he has only thing in his mind and that is the prime minister's chair", he said.

The Bhandara-Gondiya seat fell vacant in December 2017 after BJP MP Nana F. Patole quit the party and joined the Congress.

Is Mark Ingram's suspension reason for Saints panic in the Big Easy?
Ingram posted a career-best 1,540 yards from scrimmage last season, also scoring a personal-high 12 touchdowns. If the suspension stands, Ingram will be eligible to return to the Saints' active roster on October 1.

"You have withdrawn six cases against Reddy brothers, who are actors of your (Modi) movie, for you have leased out BJP to the gang of Reddy brothers in Karnataka.", he said. "If you ask me if I would like to become the PM probably I would also say yes, I also have a dream to become the PM", he said.

Nadda claimed that the incident had showed the design of Congress to influence the election process in the high-stake state polls and added that there was "enough evidence" for this. It has lost in nearly all states in the last four years.

In April, BJP national president Amit Shah left BS Yeddyurappa, BJP's presumptive Chief Ministerial candidate, embarrassed with a slip of tongue, calling the latter the "most corrupt".

Modi was also trying to send a message across to Congress' present and prospective alliance partners that the new Congress president does not treat them with due dignity.

Earlier, the BJP alleged that around 20,000 fake Voters ID cards were recovered from Congress' Raja Rajeshwari Nagar constituency candidate Muniratna.
