Manchester United target on verge of completing move to West Ham

The former England worldwide left the Emirates after the expiry of his contract, opening up a free transfer to West Ham, with whom he's signed a three-year deal.

The midfielder had been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team towards the end of last season but Wilshere is now getting used to his new surroundings with the Hammers.

"It feels good, it feels special", said Wilshere told the club's official website.

Wilshere's career has been hobbled by injuries and he was willing to take a pay cut to stay at a club he had been with for 17 years but Wenger's departure left his fate in Emery's hands.

In an interview, Wilshere claims his entire family were Hammers' fans and he had one specific player on the back of his shirt.
