Chelsea bring in Sarri and Jorginho from Napoli

Former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise has claimed that newly departed head coach Antonio Conte's behaviour at times played a role in his downfall, ultimately leading to his sacking.

Playmaker Fabregas "liked" a message welcoming Conte's departure on Twitter, swiftly apologising and suggesting he had pressed the button in error before wishing Conte luck for the future.

I'm not sure if he'll need bodyguards, either, but Sarri was certainly optimistic about a new chapter in his life and reckons Chelsea should be competing for trophies in the coming months.

Conte had been heavily linked with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge after publicly criticising the club's transfer policy, with an FA Cup victory not enough to keep him in the job.

The former Partenopei coach also apologised earlier this year for taking exception to a female reporter's question at a post-match press conference and replying: "You're a woman, you're pretty, for those two reasons I won't tell you to piss off".

A fifth-placed finish in the Premier League, missing out on Champions League qualification and ending the season 30 points behind winners Manchester City did little to strengthen Conte's argument to stay on.

Nearly two months later Chelsea are looking for a 13th permanent boss of Roman Abramovich's ownership, which began in June 2003. "Thank you for everything boss".

But McConnell and other GOP leaders have been careful to correct the president without criticizing him directly. The level of detail in the 29-page indictment is stunning, and the documents on which it is based are genuine.

There is a strong argument that this is the most turbulent time of Abramovich's ownership.

Chelsea beat a Manchester United side managed by Jose Mourinho - Conte's predecessor as Chelsea boss - at Wembley on May 19.

Chelsea have also indefinitely postponed plans to rebuild Stamford Bridge in a scheme which would cost more than £1billion.

Chelsea's first game of pre-season is the July 23 friendly with Perth Glory in Western Australia, while the transfer window for Premier League clubs closes on August 9.

Blues supporters will hope for a swift about-turn and progress at the club.

Jorginho played an important role in Sarri's Napoli and the deep-lying playmaker is seen as the flawless fit for the high-tempo, possession-based style of play that the new boss is expected to bring to Chelsea.
