It's So Difficult - Mauricio Pochettino On Tottenham's Transfer Prospects

Tottenham are yet to sign a player this summer and moves for players such as Jack Grealish have stalled as Aston Villa have changed their tune on his the winger's future at the club.

"I think it's so hard now because it's only four hours until the end and I don't have news now", Pochettino told a news conference.

"Until you finish the game you can't say it's the end". Only four hours to the end.

"Of course it's hard to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players but sometimes in football you need to behave differently".

Pochettino praised the work being done on the club's new ground and the training complex and in securing top players like England duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli on long contracts.

"Of course it's hard to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently", he said.

"We have a very good squad, we have very good players and it is not easy to add players that improve that", Pochettino said. And then we keep the best players. To keep our best players was our objective and goal and we have achieved that - at the moment. "I am the boss and if I expect from you to do something, then you need to provide it".

Soon after, the Saudi ministry of media said it had shut down the account amid an investigation into a complaint over it. There are believed to be more than 12,000 Saudi students studying in Canada.

"If we are happy with our squad and can not improve our squad, sometimes it's better to keep our squad together".

Indeed, the Daily Star claimed that Steve Bruce's side were now preparing an offer to more than double Grealish's wages, with his current pay packet standing at £20,000 a week.

"If you can't add a player that can improve your squad, the most important thing is to make sure you do not lose your best players and I think that was a great job from the club to keep the best players and the manager".

"Salomon has been in the Premier League for a while and he knows how demanding it is".

"I am so happy in the way they come back to training on Monday".

"Then to keep the best players is to be courageous. Maybe some will stay here to try to reach the level, to give more time, because maybe we don't want to take risks".
