De Bruyne suffers 'serious' knee injury

According to the Daily Mirror, De Bruyne sustained a knee injury on Wednesday in training during an outdoor session.

City announced the 27-year-old is already having tests on his right knee, while respected Belgium journalist Kristof Terreur revealed fears he could be absent for over two months.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in training, the English Premier League club has confirmed.

"Kevin is a great player and it's just unfortunate that it's happened to him in training but there's more than enough depth in the squad", defender Kyle Walker said.

The Belgium global enjoyed a brilliant campaign last season, scoring eight goals and setting up another 16 as City romped to Premier League success.
