Philadelphia Eagles' Doug Pederson rips media, says Carson Wentz not cleared

The Eagles have chosen their Week 1 starter.

Pederson did say Wentz had not yet been cleared to participate in contact drills.

Mailata had set up camp at one of the elite sporting facilities in the U.S., the IMG Academy, and during his workout an excited Stoutland began taking videos and sending them via his phone to the Eagles' front office in Philadelphia.

Wentz, the third-year quarterback from North Dakota State, underwent ACL and LCL repairs to his left knee on December 10.

It had been reported earlier this week that Foles would start, but the Eagles did not confirm that until Monday morning. With the Week 1 deadline out of the way, it will be interesting to see just how long the Eagles wait to put their franchise quarterback back onto the field. He also took six sacks, including one for a safety during a dismal outing in the Eagles' third preseason game, when his team lost to the Browns, 5-0, and left Pederson reportedly describing Foles's performance as "very disappointing".

Dispute panels are one of Canada's biggest sticking points left in talks to modernize the 24-year-old deal. The 90 days will run out November 30. "The negotiations between the United States and Canada are ongoing".

The team gave Foles a raise this offseason to reward him for his postseason performance and keep him in Philly for at least another year. Wentz took just 54. The Super Bowl banner will be dropped. Thursday night, the first game of the season in the National Football League, will be a huge stage. The crowd will be rocking.

Wentz didn't play in the preseason and only recently returned to full practice.

Wentz, the former No. 2 pick out of North Dakota State, has looked increasingly like his old self in recent weeks. It is clear that his rehab from a ton ACL and LCL is going great.

Stay tuned, Eagles fans.
