Nick Diaz on Khabib Nurmagomedov: ‘I think my brother can beat him’

The aftermath of UFC 229 has left us with many questions but one thing is certain: The Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor feud isn't over.

Oct 6, 2018; Las Vegas, NV, USA; Conor McGregor (blue gloves) taps out against Khabib Nurmagomedov (red gloves) during UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena. Moments after standing over a beaten McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion stunned everyone when he scaled the cage wall and flew into a rage.

The mixed martial arts instructor did admit he found it hard to hard understand why members of Khabib's team attacked Crumlin man McGregor in the Octagon, saying: "Actually, in the cage, where your man went in and hit him [Conor] from behind, I can't understand that".

"I slapped him as promised", the 27-year-old teammate of Khabib Nurmagomedov wrote on Instagram, as translated by ESPN contributor Karim Zidan. McGregor tweeted after the fight that he was "looking forward to the rematch", too. Though not near the three million buys he had spoken about before the fight, he did say the numbers are "way over two million".

Nurmagomedov had already said he was wary of his father's reaction to Saturday's events.

Nurmagomedov faces potential fines, community service and even suspension for his actions on fight night. Three individuals were arrested, according to UFC president Dana White, but were released when McGregor declined to press charges.

Liverpool vs. Manchester City - Football Match Report
The result left City, Liverpool and Chelsea in a three-way tie for the Premier League lead on 20 points after eight games. We tried to win but at the end we need to be happy - I need to be happy - that we didn't lose it because of the penalty.

American officials in Dublin also refused entry to a number of criminals who had failed to disclose their convictions and other details on their Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (Esta) applications for the US.

"You do whatever you want in the Octagon", Nurmagomedov Sr.

"Some people love that. but for me, it's a bad night".

Kavanagh also outlined that he felt that many onlookers in the crowd believed that, had the sparring session been scored like a fight, McGregor would have won.

However, the UFC is a business at the end of the day and if there's one guy who can demand a fight that is guaranteed to break the box office, it's Conor McGregor. "I know my father is going to smash me", he said. When you have such an unbelievable event that we've worked hard to build over the last several months and it goes flawless, I mean literally it was too eerie.
