Gunman at Florida yoga studio had been accused of harassment

Scott Beierle killed two women at a Florida yoga studio on Friday night. He killed two women and injured five others.

The AP also reported that "a man who looks like Beierle" appeared in a series of videos posted to YouTube in 2014, and that in the videos he called women who date black men "whores", spoke of an "invasion" from Central America and ranted about women.

Beierle was a graduate of FSU and had served in the military, police said.

"All evidence points to a single actor who has stayed on scene and is deceased at this time so there is no additional threat to the public", DeLeo said. The existence of the videos was first reported by BuzzFeed.

"Maura truly lived a life really devoted to peace, love and caring for others", her father, Jeff Binkley, told CNN affiliate WSB. The person in the T-shirt had been pistol-whipped while trying to fight off the gunman, police later said.

Police who rushed to the Hot Yoga studio in Tallahassee on Friday afternoon after reports of gunfire found four other people with bullet wounds and the body of the 40-year-old assailant, Scott Beierle, who had apparently shot himself. Beierle then fatally shot himself inside the studio.

According to the Florida State College of Medicine's website, Van Vessem was in charge of coordinating third and fourth year clerkship rotations in internal medicine on the school's Tallahassee campus. She was also a faculty member at Florida State and a mother.

The women who were killed were Maura Binkley and Dr Nancy Van Vessem. On Saturday, police searched Beierle's home in Deltona as well as his electronic devices in hopes of finding any clues about a possible motive.

Beirele had been previously arrested for grabbing women although the charges were eventually dropped.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with ESPN , UFC President Dana White was asked if a Lesnar and Cormier fight was locked in. Souza and Weidman were engaged in a brutal slugfest that kept both fighters on their feet for most of the first 2½ rounds.

In 2014, Beierle was charged with trespassing at a dining hall on campus and was given pretrial intervention, although it was unclear exactly what that entailed or how the case was resolved.

Erskin Wesson, who was at a restaurant directly below the yoga studio, said "we just heard like pow-pow-pow-pow", and it sounded like something falling on a tin roof and rolling.

Court records show a man who opened fire in a Tallahassee yoga studio has two prior arrests for grabbing women. The woman said she declined the offer and, according to an affidavit, Beierle then slapped her on the buttocks and grabbed her.

An FSU police report showed that Beierle told police he may have accidentally bumped into someone, but denied grabbing anyone.

FSU president John Thrasher said: "To lose one of our students and one of our faculty members in this tragic and violent way is just devastating to the Florida State University family".

She grew up in the Atlanta area and was attending Florida State University, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Police received a call at 5:37 p.m. of multiple victims at the Hot Yoga studio at an upscale shopping center in Florida's capital, Tallahassee, Police Chief Michael DeLeo told reporters.

The four other victims are in a critical condition. Two people were killed and the shooter committed suicide, police said.
