Buffalo Bills have discussed pursuing Patriots free agent DE Trey Flowers

Flowers has been with the New England Patriots for four seasons after the team drafted him in the fourth round in 2015.

In reacting to the Flower news, NBC's Peter King proposed a new rule that the National Football League might have no other choice but to incorporate in wake of recent events.

The only big fish name on the free agent market that seemed like a possibility to land in Miami was former Patriots defensive end Trey Flowers.

Coleman does have familiarity with Lions coach Matt Patricia.

Raiders 'intrigued' by Steelers WR Antonio Brown
Brown, 30, attached a video of highlights from his time with the Steelers with Lil Uzi Vert's "Now I Do What I Want" playing. It took a while for the Pittsburgh Steelers to get a market going for Antonio Brown , but it appears they're ready to deal.

In 15 games last season, the 33-year-old caught 59 passes for 575 yards and one touchdown. NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport believes it will eclipse $16 million in average annual value. The offer from the Pats has yet to be disclosed. He finished 2018 with 7.5 sacks and help lead the Patriots to their second Super Bowl title in three seasons. Flowers had a sack in the contest which pushed the Rams out of field goal range in the contest which ended up being a surprise defensive battle.

The Lions were desperate for a pass-rusher, and Flowers was arguably the best one available in free agency.

The Bills now have defensive ends Jerry Hughes, Shaq Lawson, Trent Murphy and Eddie Yarborough under contract for the 2019 season.
