Technical outage causing flight delays for airlines

At Tampa International Airport, some Southwest flights were delayed by almost two hours, the airport's website showed, with other airlines experiencing delays as well.

Technical issues have impacted several carriers Monday morning.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the problem was caused by the Aerodata airplane planning weight and balance program.

Last week, computing issues faced by Sabre's flight reservation and booking system impacted multiple major U.S. Airlines leading to the impossibility to issue boarding passes.

Delta and Southwest airlines are back to normal after experiencing nationwide issues that affected their flights.

She also admitted that it was uncertain that her office could secure a conviction. Smollett was accused of faking a racist, anti-gay attack on himself in January.

More than 525 Southwest Air Lines flights were delayed Monday morning.

At Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, at least three departing flights were delayed. The FAA announced at 8:30 a.m. that the "issue has been resolved".

The agency said United, JetBlue and Alaska Airlines were also affected.

Both Delta and Southwest acknowledged that there was a system-wide outage. Delays that began appearing first in Chicago, New York, Miami and Boston spread to Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and Washington, D.C.

Southwest Airlines said Monday morning it is not flying planes across the United States because of a technical problem with a vendor.
