Apple cuts iPhone XR prices in India

Apple cuts iPhone XR prices in India

Apple could launch the second-generation iPhone SE as soon as this year, according to a new report, and the name the company picked brings it in line with the other modern iPhones now on sale.

Wistron already produces older models, such as the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE and iPhone 7, at a smartphone manufacturing plant in Bangalore. The company is dropping the selling price of all the three variants of iPhone XR - the 64 GB will be sold at Rs 59,900 as compared to Rs 76,900 earlier, while the 128 GB will be sold at Rs 64,900 from Rs 81,900 earlier and the 256 GB model will be sold at Rs 74,900 from Rs 91,900 earlier.

The recent price cut puts iPhone XR in direct competition with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S10e and OnePlus 6T.

Non-HDFC clients will nearly certainly buy the 128GB and 256GB models of the iPhone XR at Rs. 64,900 and Rs. 74,900 separately, as compared to their MRP of Rs. 81,900 and Rs. 91,900 individually. The iPhone XR was launched in October as the most "affordable" iPhone of 2018.

Schiller, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing of Apple, speaks about the new Apple iPhone XR at an Apple Inc product launch event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, U.S., September 12, 2018. Thankfully, for those who were longing for the offer to come online and spare them a visit to a retail store, the limited period price cut on the iPhone XR is now live on Amazon.in as well.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 might come in two sizes
ETNews has also declared the Galaxy Note 10 is expected to be Samsung's first smartphone that has no traditional buttons. Samsung has finally confirmed the availability details about its much anticipated, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G edition.

The iPhone XS and the XS Max were good phones which were overpriced, no doubt in that, but Apple's iPhone XR was a bad one, it offered an HD+ IPS LCD Display at a price tag of 749$, but Apple has chose to solve this issue with the iPhone 12 Series. According to a new report, Apple's other contract manufacturer Foxconn will start assembling latest iPhones in Chennai on a trial basis.

Will the price cut help Apple gain more Indian users?

The change in pricing of the iPhone XR is a short-term promotional offer, an industry source said. The 5.42-inch device is speculated to be iPhone SE 2, while the 6.06 and 6.67-inch seem to be updated iPhone XR and iPhone XS Max.

Apple has just 1 percent of India's entire smartphone market. It shares the same internals as its more expensive iPhone XS sibling and makes up for the design and display compromises by offering a longer battery life than them.
